The Palm Springs Police Officers' Association hosted the first inaugural New Beginnings Gala to help support the Shelter from the Storm and honored two very important women who have dedicated their lives to help stop domestic violence.

The Honorable Riverside County Superior Court Judge Victoria Cameron and former Executive Director of the Shelter from the Storm, Lynn Moriarty were recognized for their achievements and advocacy in preventing domestic violence and protecting the women and children involved in these situations.

"We are honored and proud to have been part of such an important organization", said PSPOA President William Hutchinson. Hutchinson added that, "We could not have pulled this off without the dedication of a few select people who really made this event a success."

The PSPOA would like to recognize the following people who contributed to the event's success:  Andrea Carter, Robin Costello, John Shay, Trini Garza, Jim Casey, William Hutchinson, Angelina Coe, Dr Douglas Jodoin, Jeffrey Frazier, Leslie Locken and Patty Delgado.

We would also like to thank our major sponsors: Harold Matzner, Wintec Energy, The H.N. Berger Foundation, Contour Dermatology, Riverside County Deputy District Attorney's Association, The Riverside Sheriff's Association, The City of Palm Springs and the City of Cathedral City.

The show was amazing and we raised over $60,000.00 to help benefit the Shelter from the Storm.

Thank you to all those who attended and gave generously during the live ask portion of the event.

We look forward to helping the Shelter and bringing an even more amazing show to you next year.
