PALM SPRINGS POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION ENDORSES RE-ELECTION OF GINNY FOAT AND CHRIS MILLS

33-2PALM SPRINGS, CA --- The Palm Springs Police Officers Association has endorsed the re-election of Ginny Foat and Chris Mills to the City Council.

The following is the official statement of William Hutchinson, president of the Palm Springs Police Officers Association:

"The Palm Springs Police Officers Association is pleased to announce its endorsement the re- election of Ginny Foat and Chris Mills to the Palm Springs City Council.

"During the last four years, Palm Springs has faced numerous challenges caused by the economic slow down at both the national and the state level. Ginny Foat and Chris Mills successfully guided our city through those difficult times. Now Palm Springs is emerging from the recession with a growing economy fueled by increased tourism. Councilmember's Foat and Mills deserve credit for their leadership.

"Given this track record on the City Council, we believe Ginny Foat and Chris Mills are the right people for the job these next four years. They understand that public safety is the most important function of our city. We believe Ginny Foat and Chris Mills will take the actions necessary to ensure our Police Department is properly staffed with the resources required to best protect the residents, visitors, and police officers of Palm Springs."

"The men and women of the Palm Springs Police Officers Association are honored to stand with Ginny Foat and Chris Mills in this election. We hope that the voters of Palm Springs will reward them for a job well done these last four years and keep these two leaders on the City Council for four more years."
